    • Research the viability of a new program, campaign, or initiative; compile and present statistics.
    • Complete a backburner project that has been bogging down permanent staff.
    • Create a proposal on a potential social media strategy, evaluate various social media platforms, or come up with suggestions for how your current social media strategy might be improved.
    • Critique your company's website...from a user perspective; brainstorm ideas for boosting usability.
    • Propose solutions for a mid-level problem that no one has had time to address.
    • Research and identify the most influential blogs in your industry. Follow them and provide weekly reports.
    • Scan industry media for news items; provide regularly scheduled updates.
    • Accompany employees to client, sales, or other outside meetings; have them take an observer role but ask for their input and ideas (and answer any questions) after you've left.
    • Evaluate some area of IT functionality (for tech-savvy interns); ask if they see a way to improve efficiency, streamline programs, or cut costs.
    • Take responsibility for some regular tasks. Even if it's as simple as taking, and placing, the weekly supply order, it will demonstrate follow-through and an ability to take ownership.
    • Prepare a budget.
    • Create support materials, such as charts, graphs, or other visuals.
    • Plan and coordinate an event or meeting.
    • Generate a marketing plan, financial forecast, or other report.
    • Produce a video or slide presentation.
    • Perform a study or survey; analyze and present results.
    • Write internal communications.
    • Compile employee manuals or develop process directions for tasks with high employee turnover.
    • Source goods or search for lower-cost sources for high-volume materials.
    • Clean up a database.
    • Serve as a liaison between the company and clients or vendors (freeing up staff members to communicate on only more crucial issues).
    • Aid in the modification or enhancement of your internship program.
    • Help screen and train replacement interns prior to departure.

Elite Group Canada, a forward-thinking, fast paced company looking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms. Company is currently redesigning our website and will soon launch a social media campaign.


The intern invited for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team, who are very excited to share this launch with an intern hoping to gain extensive online experience.


As we believe, the primary characteristic of an internship program is to be focus on learning. To our chosen Interns, Elite Group Canada is offering steady guidance, to gain special skills, and to hone their education with hands-on work that will increase their understanding of the industry and prepare them for the workplace, hopefully, right in our company,


Responsibilities

  • · Contribute to website redesign project

  • · Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks

  • · Assist with online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more

  • · Optimize website and social media

  • · Perform keyword analysis

  • · Perform cost/benefit analysis

Requirements

  • · Marketing/Business or Language major

  • · 3 years of experience with Internet and social media platforms

  • · Solid understanding of youth markets

  • · Energetic and creative

  • · Hard-working and team-oriented

Compensation Available ONLY After 6 Months

  • And upon achieving company's goal and short-term vision, as well as self-completion and job readiness of the Intern. You will be given real tasks and real work assignments monitored closely by management and the result or outcome become part of company’s asset or liability. The assignments offered is necessary tasks and shall be voluntary and part of internship program and progress. No claim is to be made by the intern against the company as result of success and company will not make any claim against the Intern in case of failure.
